Why We Started Replant Towels
Doing the Research
We thought about launching a compostable salon towel a few years ago, but our Head Nerd of R&D insisted that we do a full investigation into just how "sustainable" these types of towels are and also to see if they can be improved.
The Results
The key findings were how they were used and their end of life. So, yes, disposable salon towels can be more sustainable if you use plant-based towels and just one per client!
Why Replant?
All this led us to making Replant Compostable Hairdressing Towels, and working to try and give our salons the most sustainable option. Our hairdressing towels are compostable, and can be composted nationwide via Green Salon Collective. They're 100% plant-based and for every order, we plant a tree! The packaging is plastic free and recyclable and we encourage stylists to use one towel per client and reuse them where possible.
